Rembang, Inspirasiline.Com. Dinas Pertanian dan Pangan (Dintanpan) Rembang, Senin (31/1/2022) menggelar acara panen bersama di sawah milik Kurdianto, seorang petani, warga Kedungwatu, Desa Kedungasem, Kecamatan Sumber.
Kurdianto berhasil melakulan inovasi dengan menanam padi tanpa pupuk urea. Dengan kegigihannya, ia telah menerapkan hasil pelatihan ini, membuahkan hasil yang nyata.
Dintanpan Rembang turut ikut serta menyambut hari panen sawah milik Kurdianto tersebut. Kepala Dinas Dintanpan Rembang bahkan mengklaim, keuntungan yang didapat Kurdianto mencapai dua kali lipat dibandingkan sawah dengan pupuk anorganik.
“Penampakan tanamanya sangat bagus, bahkan bisa bersaing dengan penggunaan pupuk anorganik. Analisa ekonomi nya tadi disampaikan pada kami, bisa menghasilkan profit keuntungan dua kali lipat daripada budidaya padi yang menggunakan pupuk anorganik,”ungkap Agus.
Pihaknya berharap, kegigihan kurdianto ini bisa menjadi contoh untuk para petani lainnya dalam mengelola sawah milik mereka. Bahkan pihak Dintanpan juga akan mengaplikasikan inovasi ini kepada para petani lainnya di Kabupaten Rembang.
Meski begitu, mengelola sawah tanpa pupuk anorganik ini memang memerlukan ketelatenan dan kesabaran yang luar biasa. Selain itu, penggunaan pupuk organik juga sedikit memiliki kelemahan, diantaranya pertumbuhan tanaman tidak secepat pupuk anorganik.
Akan tetapi, buh Agus, meskipun pada awalnya pertumbuhan tanaman tidak secepat penggunaan pupuk anorganik, akan tetapi dalam jangka panjang hal tersebut bisa jauh lebih menguntungkan.
“Selain itu tanahnya menjadi bagus untuk pertumbuhan tanaman. Akan tetapi yang diterapkan oleh pak Kurdianto ini tidak terlalu signifikan lambanya. Artinya dia punya teknologi yang memang cepat untuk menumbuhkan tanaman,” terang Agus.
Kami berharap, Kurdianto maupun petani lainnya bisa menerapkan penggunaan pupuk organik untuk sawah. Bukan hanya satu atau dua petak saja akan tetapi ke seluruh hamparan sawah.
Penggunaan pupuk organik ini selain lebih menyehatkan tanah, juga dapat menguntungkan para petani jika terdapat kenaikan kenaikan pupuk anorganik di kemudian hari, sehingga dalam masa panen petani tidak merasa rugi akibat pengeluaran yang besar pada masa tanam. (Yon Daryono)
