Rembang-Inspirasiline.com. Kurangnya minat generasi muda di sektor pertanian menjadi perhatian Pemerintah Kabupaten Rembang. Bertani identik dengan kotor, melelahkan, ribet dan tidak menjanjikan.
Padahal sektor pertanian berpengaruh besar dalam menunjang ketahanan pangan dan stabilitas nasional. Oleh karena itu, Dinas Pertanian dan Pangan Rembang mengajak pelajar SMA dan SMK mengikuti acara panen raya di Desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Kaliori, kemarin (14/2).
Diikutsertakannya para pelajar dalam panen raya menurut Kepala Dintanpan Rembang, Agus Iwan Haswanto , karena pihaknya tidak ingin remaja atau generasi muda meninggalkan pertanian. Dengan cara memperlihatkan modersinasi pertanian, diharapkan mereka bisa tertarik kepada sektor pertanian.
“Kita ingin menunjukkan bahwa pertanian sekarang tidak seperti yang dulu. Nyangkul, mbajak dengan sapi dan sebagainya, tapi semuanya sudah pakai alat dan bersih, ” tuturnya.
Dengan kemajuan sektor pertanian ini, langkah mendekatkan pertanian dengan siswa perlu dilakukan. Anak- anak sekolah nantinya bisa menjadi penerus yang menggeluti sektor pertanian sebagai penguat ketahanan pangan.
Mereka diajak langsung berlatih mengoperasikan berbagai jenis Alat Mesin Pertanian (Alsintan), seperti transplanter mesin untuk menanam padi, harvest combine mesin pemanen padi, rotavator mesin pengolah lahan hingga drone penyemprot pestisida.
“Kita sudah ajak perwakilan dari SMA 2, SMKN 1, SMKN 2, SMK Walisongo, SMK Muhammadiyah, mereka berlatih mengoperasikan alsintan, harapannya mereka memberi pesan kepada yang lain bahwa pertanian berharap ada keterlibatan anak- anak kita, sehingga nanti bersambung, tidak ada kesulitan pangan sepanjang kita menyiapkan kader- kader kita, ” ungkapnya.
Willi Joniarto, siswa yang pernah ikut panen raya bersama Dintanpan menuturkan alsintan membuat semua proses bertani menjadi lebih mudah dan cepat.
“Senang baru pertama kali ikut panen padi, jadi punya pengalaman baru. Tadi mencoba transplanter mesin tanam padi, jadi lebih cepat dari pada tenaga manusia , ” ungkapnya saat ditanya bagaimana perasaannya setelah ikut panen raya dan mencoba langsung alsintan.
Dengan sistem mekanisasi atau peralatan modern pertanian , keuntungan petani akan lebih banyak. Perbandingan seperti diketahui dari analisa kelompok tani desa Sidomulyo Kecamatan Kaliori, dengan sistem manual, keuntungan per hektarnya Rp 19 juta lebih sedangkan dengan sistem mekanisasi didapat keuntungan Rp 25 juta lebih.
