SETELAH mengegolkan Undang-Undang Pesantren, Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) terus berkomitmen kepada santri dan pondok pesantren. Salah satunya diwujudkan dengan membantu pemberangkatan santri kembali ke pondoknya, terutama yang berjarak jauh, sehingga membutuhkan banyak biaya.
Melanjutkan langkah sebelumnya, Dewan Pimpinan Cabang Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (DPC PKB) Kota Semarang memberangkatkan 70 santri kembali ke pondoknya di Lirboyo, Kediri, Jawa Timur, beberapa waktu lalu.
Rombongan santri dari Kota Semarang yang diangkut dua bus itu diberangkatkan dari halaman balaikota. Dilepas oleh Ketua DPC PKB Muhammad Mahsun dan para anggota Fraksi PKB DPRD bersama Walikota Hendrar Prihadi. Turut hadir Ketua Pengurus Cabang Nahdlatul Ulama H Anasom, Ketua Rabithah Maahid Islamiyah (RMI NU) KH Ulil Albab Syaikhun, serta para wali santri.
M Mahsun ketika berpidato selaku perwakilan Himpunan Alumni Santri Lirboyo (Himasal) Kota Semarang mengatakan, santri sangat diharapkan perannya di masyarakat. Tidak hanya dalam urusan keagamaan, setiap saat negara pun membutuhkan. “Mari belajar serius. Mondok sing tenanan. Taati guru. Doakan orangtuamu. Semoga ilmu kalian bermanfaat,” ujarnya didampingi Sekretaris DPC PKB Antoni Yudha Timor, dan empat anggota Fraksi PKB, yaitu M Sodri, HM Rohaini, Gumilang Febriyansyah, dan Juan Rama.
Walikota Hendrar Prihadi tampil hangat ketika menyambut. Dia membuat kuis ketika berpidato. Para santri diminta maju lalu diberi pertanyaan ringan. Yang menjawab benar langsung diberi uang saku Rp 500 ribu. Tak kurang enam santri putra maupun putri berhasil memenangi kuis itu.
“Mondok itu keren. Dan Pesantren Lirbiyo itu sangat keren. Saya ikut bahagia bersama adik-adik santri. Saya punya sangu sedikit. Jadi saya bagi lewat kuis saja,” ujar Hendi, sapaan akrab walikota dengan gaya bercanda, yang langsung disambut tepuk tangan meriah para santri.
Ketua PCNU H Anasom dalam sambutannya berpesan, para santri harus siap menjadi pemimpin bangsa. Sepulang dari mondok, tidak semuanya harus mendirikan atau mengasuh pesantren. Harus ada yang masuk ke ranah lain dalam urusan negara.
“Alumni pesantren harus siap jadi pemimpin bangsa. Gus Dur dan Kiai Ma’ruf Amin itu presiden dan wakil presiden RI. Beliau pemimpin bangsa. Jadi kalian harus siap mengikuti jejak beliau,” tuturnya.
Anasom melanjutkan, Ketua PBNU KH Said Aqil Siradj dan Rais Am PBNU terdulu, KH Mustofa Bisri juga alumni Lirboyo. Maka, sudah sepantasnya santri Lirboyo berpikir besar dan bercita-cita tinggi.
