BAMBANG Sugiri merupakan salah satu dari enam tokoh masyarakat yang tidak luput dari perhatian Museum Rekor Sukoharjo (Muresko) di Hari Pahlawan.
Atas dedikasinya di bidang pendidikan, Bambang Sugiri mendapatkan piagam penghargaan sebagai motivator pendidikan dengan memberdayakan masyarakat di berbagi bidang.
Penyerahan piagam penghargaan dilakukan di Posyandu Lansia Ngudi Waras, Kelurahan Jetis, Sukoharjo, Selasa (10/11/2020).
Bambang yang telah mengenyam pendidikan di lima perguruan tinggi ini mengaku masih belum cukup menimba ilmu dan pengetahuan.
Bambang tak pernah menyangka, apalagi mengharapkan untuk memperoleh penghargaan atas apa yang telah dia lakukan untuk kemaslahatan orang banyak.
“Namun di Hari Pahlawan ini, saya merasakan kebahagiaan, betul-betul bangga. Pasalnya, telah mendapatkan perhatian dari Muresko untuk menerima piagam penghargaan. Ini merupakan sebuah cambuk bagi saya untuk terus berkarya memberdayakan masyarakat, yang semula tertidur menjadi bangun, yang sudah bangun terus lari untuk bisa meraih mimpi. Yang menjadi prinsip saya, menggerakkan teman-teman untuk maju dan terus berkarya,” ungkap Bambang Sugiri.
Sesuai Basis
Lebih lanjut Bambang mengatakan, profesinya sebagai guru sesuai basisnya di bidang pendidikan.
Meski telah mengantongi gelar Sarjana Pendidikan, dia merasa belum puas sampai di situ. Berbagai ilmu pengetahuan ingin terus dia pelajari.
Di jenjang pendidikan tinggi, Bambang telah mengantongi tiga gelar sanjana: S1, Pascasarjana, dan Doktor.
Bambang juga telah mengenyam di lima perguruan tinggi, yaitu UNS, Unsa, UMS, IKIP Yogyakarta, dan UGM Yogyakarta.
Disiplin ilmu yang dia pelajari meliputi manajemen pendidikan, hukum, peternakan, pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan yang masih menjadi keinginannya adalah mempelajari bidang ilmu agama.
Yang menjadi motivasi untuk terus belajar dan belajar, menurut Bambang, karena dia berasal dari keluarga guru/pendidik. Putrinya juga seorang pendidik.
Bambang berharap, jejaknya bisa diikuti anak-anaknya dan bisa merambah ke orang lain.

“Pahlawan adalah orang yang betul-betul memberikan pikiran dan ilmu pengetahuan yang dimiliki, dengan sukarela dan tulus ikhlas tanpa tendensi apa pun, supaya bermanfaat bagi banyak orang,” ujarnya.
Di momentum Hari Pahlawan ini, Bambang mengajak kepada kaum milenial untuk selalu berkarya, belajar setinggi mungkin.
“Belajar tidak hanya di satu bidang ilmu saja. Lebih baik di berbagai bidang ilmu pengetahuan, supaya ilmu yang didapat juga lebih banyak. Dan sebaiknya bisa menularkan ilmu ke lebih banyak orang,” terang Bambang.***
