NAMA sego (nasi) plontang di Kabupaten Sragen memang tidak sepopuler sego berkat atau sego liwet.

Meski asing di telinga, sego plontang merupakan salah satu kuliner khas dari Bumi Sukowati.

Sego plontang pernah dipamerkan pada kegiatan Pasar Budaya Sangiran yang digelar Desember 2020 lalu. Nama lain dari sego plontang adalah sego takir.

SEGO plontang dalam wadah dari daun pisang berbentuk segi empat yang khas.

Keunikan dari kuliner ini terletak pada wadahnya yang terbuat dari daun pisang yang dipadu dengan janur kuning.

Takir sendiri merupakan sebutan untuk wadah makanan yang terbuat dari daun pisang. Berbeda dengan pincuk yang dibuat dengan bentuk mengerucut, takir berbentuk segi empat. Di kedua ujung lipatan biasa diberi sematan lidi agar lebih kuat dipakai untuk menampung makanan.

Untuk menambah kesan estetis, takir itu diberi hiasan janur kuning melingkar.

Di wadah itu terdapat aneka macam makanan, mulai dari nasi uduk atau nasi gurih, suwiran ayam, kedelai hitam yang digoreng, ikan wader, rempeyek kacang tanah, dan kerupuk. Namun, sego plontang saat ini relatif sulit didapatkan, karena tidak dijual di warung mana pun.

Sego plontang hanya ada pada momen-momen tertentu, seperti saat upacara adat di desa-desa. Sego plontang biasa digunakan masyarakat Sragen untuk menjamu tamu pada acara bancakan, sedekah setelah ada yang melahirkan, meninggal dunia, atau mau melangsungkan pernikahan, dan lain-lain.

“Sementara ini sego plontang hanya ada pada momen-momen tertentu. Tapi, suatu saat nanti sego plontang bisa kami jual di pasar tradisional yang dikelola Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes), supaya bisa jadi kuliner khas Sangiran selain bukur,” tutur Kepala Desa (Kades) Krikilan, Kecamatan Kalijambe Widodo kepada inspirasiline.com di balai desa setempat, Jumat (22/1/2021), sebelum salat Jumat.

Bentuk wadah sego plontang ternyata memiliki makna filosofis. Wadah sego plontang berbentuk segi empat menyerupai sebuah perahu atau bahtera, memiliki makna bahwa manusia hidup mengikuti alur perjalanan yang telah digariskan. Perahu itu mudah terpontang-panting mengikuti gelombang kehidupan.***
