BUPATI Blora Arief Rohman mendorong Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Al Muhammad Cepu, sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi yang berpusat di Jalan Blora Nomor 151, Wonorejo, Kecamatan Cepu, Kabupaten Blora, untuk terus berkembang. Salah satunya, dengan perubahan status lembaga pendidikan dari sekolah tinggi naik menjadi institut.
“Kami atas nama Pemkab Blora mengapresiasi dan mendukung STAI Al Muhammad Cepu yang sedang mengajukan proses perubahan status dari sekolah tinggi menjadi institut. Kami siap memberikan surat rekomendasi untuk dikirimkan ke Pak Menteri Agama, mengingat perguruan tinggi ini berada di bawah lingkup Kementerian Agama RI,” ungkap Bupati Arief Rohman ketika menghadiri penarikan mahasiswa KKN STAI Al Muhammad Cepu di Pendopo Kantor Camat Jati, Selasa (23/3/2021).
Bupati Arief Rohman berharap, dengan perubahan status sekolah tinggi menjadi institut, nantinya diharapkan Cepu tidak hanya menjadi kota industri, namun juga kota pendidikan di Kabupaten Blora.
“Perguruan tinggi di bawah Yayasan Ponpes Al Muhammad Cepu ini, kami harapkan ke depan bisa mendukung Cepu, Kabupaten Blora sebagai kota pendidikan,” tandasnya.
Rektor STAI Al Muhammad Cepu Kadarismanto menyampaikan, sekolah tinggi yang dia pimpin ini merupakan lembaga pendidikan tinggi yang berada di bawah Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia dan dalam naungan Pondok Pesantren Al Muhammad Cepu.
“Sekolah tinggi ini berada di bawah naungan Pondok Pesantren Al Muhammad Cepu yang kini telah memiliki tiga jurusan, yaitu Hukum Keluarga, Tarbiyah, serta Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam. Dengan adanya tiga jurusan tersebut, kami sedang mengajukan perubahan dari sekolah tinggi menjadi institut. Mohon doa restu kepada Bapak Bupati serta seluruh lapisan masyarakat,” harapnya.***
