Rembang-Inspirasiline.com. Sekitar 6.000 petani Di Rembang Mulai menanam tembakau. Selain cuaca mulai cocok untuk tanaman bahan utama rokok tersebut, juga sesuai arahan PT Sadana selaku mitra, jadwal tanaman tembakau adalah Mei-Juni.
Namun dari pantauan media ini, Minggu (28/5), di beberapa desa di wilayah Kecamatan Bulu, Sumber dan Sulang, belum semua lahan tembakau ditanami. Bibit tanaman tembakau masih banyak di lokasi persemaian.
Wawan petani tembakau di Desa Pinggan, Kecamatan Bulu, yang juga Sekjen Asosiasi Petani Tembakau Indonesia (APTI) Kabupaten Rembang mengakui belum seluruh petani menanam, karena ada sebagian yang mengalami kemunduran masa penyemaian, akibat kerasnya lahan pertanian.
“Jadwal dari perusahaan Mei sampai awal Juni sudah tanam semua, tapi ini sebagian petani belum, masih kesulitan pada pengolahan lahan, setelah cuaca panas akhir-akhir ini, “ ujarnya.
Wawan menimpali berdasarkan ramalan BMKG musim kemarau tahun ini akan terjadi pada bulan Mei, kemudian puncaknya di bulan Agustus.
“Meski kadang masih ada hujan, tapi rata-rata wilayah Kabupaten Rembang sudah masuk kemarau, “ kata Wawan.
Bahkan informasi yang beredar di kalangan petani, tahun ini diprediksi akan terjadi musim kemarau ekstrim, dengan terik panas yang lebih.
Kalau harapan petani tembakau, untuk mendapatkan hasil panen tembakau maksimal, cuaca sesekali masih ada hujan saat penanaman, supaya tanah lebih gembur.
Hujan dengan intensitas ringan juga tidak masalah, pada masa pertumbuhan tanaman. Tapi begitu menjelang panen sampai petik daun, diharapkan cuaca panas, untuk memudahkan proses pengeringan, sehingga akan memperoleh tembakau berkualitas.
“Kalau harapan petani seperti itu, tapi tinggal kita lihat saja nanti seperti apa, karena cuaca kan di luar kendali petani. Kalau benar tahun ini cuaca panas ekstrim, petani berarti harus antisipasi dengan penyediaan air yang cukup, “ terangnya.
Wawan menyebut tahun ini petani mendapatkan keleluasaan menanam tembakau, sesuai kemampuan luasan. Ia sebatas berharap nantinya ketika panen berlimpah, tidak ada masalah penjualan dari petani ke perusahaan.
“Harapan kami berapapun jumlahnya tetap diterima, artinya tidak terjadi masalah dalam penjualan. Jadi tidak hanya dipersilahkan leluasa menanam saja, “ pungkas Wawan.
Sementara itu, Kepala Dinas Pertanian Dan Pangan Kabupaten Rembang, Agus Iwan Haswanto menjelaskan jumlah petani tembakau yang bermitra dengan PT Sadana sekira 6.000 orang. Untuk luasan lahan pihaknya belum bisa memperinci, karena saat ini baru tahap penanaman.
“Tapi dulu pernah ditarget sekitar 8 Ribu hektar mas, untuk tahun ini berapa angkanya belum kami ketahui, “ kata Agus. (yon).
