SMA Negeri 1 Pegandon merupakan salah satu sekolah di Kabupaten Kendal yang terpilih menjadi Sekolah Penggerak.
Sesuai dengan Surat Keputusan Jenderal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Pendidikan Dasar dan Pendidikan Menengah dengan Nomor 6555/C/HK.00/2021 tentang Penetapan Satuan Pendidikan Pelaksana Program Sekolah Penggerak.
Kepala SMAN 1 Pegandon Norhadi mengatakan, untuk menjadi Sekolah Penggerak itu bermula dari adanya pengumuman dari pusat bahwa akan ada program Sekolah Penggerak 2021.
Kemudian para kepala sekolah dimintai untuk mendaftar dan itu dinilai sesuai administrasi kepala sekolah, melalui pengisian esai, selanjutnya penilaian dan lolos tahap pertama.
“Kami kepala sekolah juga melakukan praktik mengajar. Di situ kami diminta untuk mengajar. Setelah itu diumumkan bahwa kami SMAN 1 Pegandon lolos menjadi Sekolah Penggerak dari 2.500 sekolah se-Indonesia,” jelas Norhadi, Sabtu (19/6/2021).
Norhadi mengungkapkan, dengan adanya kepercayaan dari pemerintah kepada SMAN 1 Pegandon, membuka wawasan dan harapan baru yang menjadikan SMAN 1 Pegandon sekolah pertama yang melakukan sebagai Sekolah Penggerak di Kabupaten Kendal.
“Dengan Sekolah Penggerak ini, insyaAllah ini bakal menjadi perubahan besar di SMAN 1 Pegandon. Tentunya masyarakat dapat melihat perubahan Pegandon yang dulu, yang sekarang, dan ke depannya,” tegas Norhadi.
Norhadi menambahkan, sekolah yang menjadi Sekolah Penggerak adalah SMAN 1 Pegandon, SMAN 1 Boja, dan SMAN 1 Singorojo.
Sekolah Penggerak merupakan salah satu program pemerintah yang diharapkan memaksimalkan pendidikan yang mengerti tentang anak.
“Capaian akhir dari kelulusan nanti menghasilkan produk siswa yang memiliki profil Pancasila,” terangnya.
Tentunya guru akan melakukan asesmen dengan melihat bakat, minat, dan kemampuan siswa menjadi dasar bagaimana bapak/ibu guru menyiapkan pembelajaran.
“Di sini akan dikuatkan hal pokok yang perlu siswa kuasai, literasi, yaitu membaca. Dengan membaca, itu dasar anak-anak belajar. Apapun ilmunya, literasi modal awal bagi siswa,” tandasnya.
Kepala SMAN 1 Pegandon Norhadi berpesan kepada orangtua siswa agar memahami bahwa program Sekolah Penggerak benar-benar memberikan kesempatan seluas-luasnya kepada siswa untuk belajar lebih, dengan menggunakan model yang salah satunya berkolaborasi dengan mata plajaran (mapel) untuk menghasilkan produk dan nantinya siswa lebih banyak praktik di lapangan.
“Lebih penting lagi, anak-anak akan mengalami pembelajaran yang selama ini tidak pernah dialami di SMP, di SMA juga dilakukan Sekolah Penggerak pada materi vokasi, yaitu keterampilan seperti di SMK,” bebernya.
Menurut Norhadi, metode pembelajaran di Sekolah Penggerak sedikit berbeda dari Kurikulum 2013.
Kurikulum 2013 itu peminatan IPA, MIPA, dan IPS di kelas X. Sedangkan untuk Sekolah Penggerak se-Indonesia ini, untuk peminatan penjurusan akan dilakukan di kelas XI.
“Jadi nanti di kelas X masuk umum, semua kelas masuk materi, dan dari asesmen kelas X itu baru akan diarahkan ke mana yang cocok sesuai bakat dan kemampuannya,” pungkasnya.***
