Kendal-Inspirasiline.com. Guna mencetak mahasiswa yang solid, kritis dan berani Universitas Selamat Sri (UNISS) Kabupaten Kendal menggelar Law College Gatering “, Minggu (29/01) di Villa Promas Greenland Gonoharjo Kecamatan Limbangan.
Ketua koordinator Law College Gatering Tri Mutoifah yang juga mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum mengatakan, kegiatan ini bertujuan agar menambah solid dan kekompakan bagi Fakultas Hukum.
“Peserta diikuti 60 mahasiswa prodi Hukum yang ada di Uniis Kendal, semoga dengan adanya kegiatan ini dapat menambah semangat belajar, sehingga kedepan bisa mengharumkan nama Universitas,”katanya.
Tri Mutoifah yang kerap disapa Ifah Kanaya mengatakan, Mahasiswa sangat diharapkan perannya bisa menjadi generasi yang berani dan kuat serta memiliki jiwa kepemimpinan yang bermoral baik.
“Jadi tujuan digelar LCG ini supaya peran mahasiswa dapat menggantikan kepemimpinan generasi yang sebelumnya dan memiliki pandangan yang lebih luas serta berani menyuarakan hal-hal yang dianggap tidak adil bagi masyarakat,”ungkap Ifah Kanaya.
Menurutnya, Pemerintah yang baik adalah pemerintah yang anti kritik. Hal ini juga berlaku untuk organisasi yang ada di Fakultas itu sendiri yang harus mengedepankan demokrasi.
“Sebagai mahasiswa, harus bisa menjadi kontrol sosial dan juga kontrol pemerintah apabila ada kebijakan yang tidak sesuai dengan suara rakyat,”tandas Ifah Kanaya.
Dekan Uniss Sitta Saraya mengatakan, kegiatan Law College Gatering ini bertujuan agar sesama mahasiswa dapat saling kenal dan bisa saling berkolaborasi sehingga tercipta mahasiswa UNIIS prodi Hukum yang solid, kritis dan berani.
“Saya berpesan kepada seluruh mahasiswa UNIIS khususnya Fakultas Hukum agar semangat belajar dan dapat patuh kepada Dosen agar nantinya bisa lulus dengan baik” tutur Sitta Saraya. (eko)
