Kendal-Inspirasiline.com.  Selekda Pra PON Balap Sepeda Jawa Tengah, yang digelar di sirkuit BMX kompleks Stadion Utama Kendal, Sabtu (11/2/2023).

Selekda Pra PON BMX diikuti 18 atlet dari Kabupaten Jepara, Kabupaten Klaten, Kabupaten Temanggung, Kabupaten Kendal dan Kabupaten Banjarnegara.

Atlet ISSI Kendal yang berhasil meraih podium II, yaitu untuk putra diraih Ade  Alfan Fadhila dan putri diraih Fenanda Adelia Putri. Keduanya juga dipastikan lolos menuju Pra PON di Aceh dan Sumut mendatang.

Ketua Umum ISSI Kendal, Munawir mengucapkan syukur dan terima kasih atas prestasi yang diraih para atlet putra-putri ISSI Kendal yang telah meraih podium II di ajang Selekda Pra PON.

“Saya ucapkan terima kasih kepada adik-adik BMX ISSI Kendal yang telah menorehkan banyak prestasi, juga di ajang Selekda Pra PON ini. Sehingga mengangkat nama baik Kendal melalui cabang olahraga sepeda,”ungkap Munawir yang juga anggota DPRD Kendal Ketua Komisi A DPRD Kendal.

Dikatakannya, dengan dipercayakannya Kendal sebagai pelaksana Selekda Pra PON cabor sepeda, atlet Kendal bisa lolos di Pra PON, dan mewakili Jawa Tengah di PON mendatang.

“Alhamdulilah atlet Kendal lolos di Pra PON dan mewakili Jawa Tengah,”katanya.

Politisi dari Fraksi Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan mengakui, jika kondisi sirkuit BMX becek karena hujan dan sirkuit baru selesai dibenahi untuk selekda ini.

“Kami akan terus membenahi sirkuit BMX ini, karena untuk latihan para atlet. Sehingga ke depannya, para atlet BMX lebih aman dan nyaman dalam berlatih,” tandas Munawir.

Sementara itu, atlet putri ISSI Kendal yang meraih podium II, Fenanda Adelia Putri mengaku sempat kewalahan dalam menaklukkan sirkuit BMX yang becek dan berlumpur.

“Sangat sulit karena jalannya becek dan susah untuk mengendalikan sepeda, alhamdulilah meraih podium II,” ungkap siswi kelas XI SMAN 2 Kendal.(eko)
