SAAT ini, kasus kriminalitas dan kecelakaan lalu lintas di wilayah hukum Polres Kendal pada 2020 meningkat dibanding kejadian di 2019. Hal tersebut berdasarkan data dari Polres Kendal, selama 2020 terjadi 190 kasus kejahatan.
‘’Jumlah kenaikannya sekitar 14,2 persen jika dibanding 2019, sebanyak 163 kasus,’’ kata Kapolres Kendal AKBP Raphael Sandhy Cahya Priambodo, dalam acara Press Release Akhir Tahun 2020 Polres Kendal yang digelar di halaman mapolres, Kamis (31/12/2020).
Dikatakan, 190 kasus tersebut merupakan kriminalitas yang menimbulkan gangguan keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat, seperti pencurian dengan pemberatan (curat), pencurian kendaraan bermotor (curanmor), narkoba, penipuan, dan judi.
“Kasus curat di tahun 2020 ada 56 kejadian. Jadi naik 25 kasus dibanding 2019. Sementara curanmor terjadi 35 kasus dibanding 2019, naik sebanyak 20 kejadian. Kasus penyalahgunaan narkoba sebanyak 37 kali, naik 17 kasus dibanding 2019,’’ jelas Kapolres AKBP Raphael Sandhy Cahya Priambodo didampingi Wakapolres Kompol Donny Eko Listianto dan Kasubag Humas Kompol Sukarsa.
Kriminalitas lainnya mengalami penurunan. Seperti curas, dari delapan kasus menjadi enam, peredaran uang palsu dari dua kasus menjadi satu kejadian.
“Penyelesaian perkara kriminalitas pada 2020 mengalami kenaikan dibanding 2019,” tuturnya.
Sementara, kasus laka lantas di 2020 meningkat dibanding 2019. Pada 2020 terjadi 452 kecelakaan atau naik 20,7 persen dibanding 2019, sebanyak 358 perkara. Korban meninggal tahun 2019 tercatat 120 orang dan di 2020 berkurang menjadi 91 orang.
“Luka berat naik dari tiga orang menjadi tujuh orang, luka ringan dari 334 orang menjadi 428 orang atau naik 94 jiwa. Kerugian materi naik dari Rp 179 juta di tahun 2019 menjadi Rp 231 juta pada tahun 2020,” ungkap Kapolres AKBP Raphael Sandhy Cahya Priambodo.
Polri juga aktif membantu penanganan dan pencegahan Covid-19 yang terjadi sejak Maret 2020. Polri ikut melaksanakan operasi bersama TNI dan Satpol PP.
Operasi yang dilakukan sebanyak 8.160 kegiatan selama kurun waktu empat bulan, yakni September hingga Desember 2020. Pelanggar protokol kesehatan ada yang mendapat sanksi teguran, sosial, dan denda.
“Kami juga bakti sosial berupa pembagian 10.183 paket sembako kepada berbagai komunitas yang terdampak Covid-19 dan alat pelindung diri (APD) untuk tenaga kesehatan,” pungkasnya.***
