Hal ini merupakan perolehan prestasi tertinggi Kontingen Grobogan, selama 26 tahun terakhir mengikuti ajang yang digelar setiap empat tahun tersebut. Dalam menyambut keberhasilan tersebut, para atlet, pelatih dan offical seluruh cabang olahraga (cabor) diarak keliling kota Purwodadi, Jumat (11/8/2023).
Start dimulai dari Stadion Krida Bakti,iring iringan pawai dilaksanakan keliling kota menggunakan mobil bak terbuka dan kendaraan roda dua, dengan memajang medali yang diperoleh diatas kap mobil. Setelah itu para atlet menuju Pendapa Kantor Bupati Grobogan dan disambut langsung oleh Bupati Grobogan beserta Forkompinda serta para pejabat yang hadir menyaksikan penyerahan mendali kejuaraan.
Ketua KONI Grobogan Fatchur Rahman mengatakan bahwa hasil yang diperoleh kontingen Grobogan sudah melampaui target yang diberikan Pemerintah Daerah. Grobogan berhasil menjadi peringkat kedua Porprov XVI Jateng dengan mengoleksi total 256 medali, terdiri dari 100 emas, 80 perak dan 76 perunggu.
“Sudah 26 tahun Kontingen Grobogan menargetkan,dan alhamdulillah kita memperoleh peringkat kedua. Ini merupakan hasil kerja keras para atlet, pelatih dan teman-teman cabor,”ungkap fatchur Rahman.
Sementara itu, Bupati Grobogan Sri Sumarni mengapresiasi seluruh atlet, pelatih, official dan pengurus cabor yang telah berjuang semaksimal, sehingga Kabupaten Grobogan bisa meraih peringkat kedua dalam event Porprov se Jateng tahun 2023 ini.
“Terimakasih kepada KONI, pelatih, official dan seluruh atlet. Ini merupakan pencapaian prestasi yang luar biasa. Kita bisa menjadi juara kedua di Porprov kali ini,” Ucapnya.
Sri Sumarni mengatakan bahwa Pemkab Grobogan akan memberikan bonus prestasi kepada para atlet yang berhasil meraih medali di ajang Porprov yang di selenggarakan ini. Bupati Grobogan menyebutkan bonus yang diberikan masing-masing sebesar Rp 75 juta untuk peraih medali emas, Rp 20 juta medali perak dan Rp 10 juta untuk medali perunggu.
“Untuk bonus akan kita berikan secara bertahap. Mudah-mudahan ini bisa memberikan semangat kepada atlet-atlet kita untuk lebih berprestasi dalam setiap kejuaraan,” Pungkas bupati. (jkwi-AJ)
