SUDAH lumayan lama Usman tak menyambangi pos kamling kampung, di seberang jalan tak jauh dari rumahnya. Situasi dan kondisi yang memaksanya seperti itu. Pandemi Covid-19 yang tak kunjung usai, menjadi alasan yang paling hakiki.
Malam Minggu lalu, saat Gerakan “Jateng di Rumah Saja” diberlakukan, Usman iseng-iseng “nengok” pos kamling itu. Siapa tahu ada Kang Kucrit dan Lek No. Dua sohibnya di kampung, yang diam-diam sudah mulai dikangeninya.
Tapi ya sepi. Pos kamling senyap. Bahkan, tak seorang pun tetangga Usman yang kelihatan batang hidungnya. Entah karena kepatuhannya pada instruksi Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo lewat guliran Gerakan “Jateng di Rumah Saja” itu, atau memang rata-rata lebih memilih tetap di rumah lantaran hujan terus-menerus di hari-hari belakangan.
Setelah setengah jam berlalu, ketika Usman hendak beringsut untuk masuk rumah, mendadak ada suara yang menyapanya.
“Lek Us, meh ning ndi? Sek, ojo kesusu mlebu sek…” Kang Kucrit agak tergopoh-gopoh mendatanginya. Di tangannya ada dua mug berisi kopi hitam panas.
“Ono opo, Kang?”
“Kalem, Lek Us. Iki lho tak gawakke kopi. Aku arep takon sithik karo awakmu,” ujar Kang Kucrit sambil menyodorkan satu mug kopi panas kepada Usman.
“Wah, ajib. Maturnuwun. Yen iso ngene terus wae,” balas Usman. “Opo sing meh mbok takokke?”
Agak klecam-klecem, malu-malu kucing, Kang Kucrit pelan berucap, “Virtual kuwi opo?”
Sambil menyeruput kopi, tangan kiri Usman garuk-garuk kepala.
“Virtual kuwi opo, Lek Us? Saiki kok sithik-sithik virtual. Rapat virtual, sekolah virtual, sidang virtual… Opo kuwi virtual?”
Sesaat kening Usman berkerut. Setelah menyelipkan sebatang rokok kretek bermerek legendaris kesukaan di bibir, menyulutnya, lalu satu isapan-embusan, Usman mendadak seperti mendapat pencerahan.
“Sak ngertiku, sing aku tau krungu seko koncoku sing wartawan, virtual kuwi ‘semacam keadaan simulasi dari bentuk nyata’. Dadi yen ono sekolah opo rapat virtual kuwi ora bedo koyo dewe yen pas video call-an lewat hape. Pokoke ngono kuwi lah,” jelas Usman runtut. Dengan bahasa intelektual yang mudah.
“Oalah. Koyo ngono kuwi to?”
“Oalah piye? Awakmuj ki wis paham opo durung? Tur maneh yo nopo takon bab virtual. Sak umurane dhewe iki wis ora unggahe mbahas virtual. Dhewe ‘wistua’, ora virtual.”
Istilah dan teknologi virtual memang melejit sejak dunia dilanda pandemi Covid-19, setahun belakangan ini. Semua dilakukan serba online atau daring, demi mengantisipasi agar tidak mendorong laju penularan virus Corona. Sekolah, rapat, sidang, dan sebagainya tetap bisa dilakukan secara nyata, meski yang terlibat saling berjauhan.
Kang Kucrit, meski tak paham makna virtual, tapi tanpa disadarinya dia sebenarfnya telah berada di dalamnya. Menikmati teknologi canggih itu, minimal melalui video call di smartphone anak gadisnya yang masih duduk di bangku SMA.
Usman kembali menyeruput kopinya yang mulai dingin. Juga mengepulkan asap-asap rokok kreteknya. Menikmati di tengah hawa dingin malam minggu dalam suasana “Jateng di Rumah Saja.”
“Wis ah yo, dhewe mlebu omah wae. Hawane adem. Atis. Daripada masuk angin. Maklum, dhewe iki melu menangi virtual, tapi dudu generasi virtual. Dhewe iki generasi ‘wistua’. Ora pantes kakean melek wengi,” ajak Usman sambil melentikkan pangkal rokok kreteknya yang nyaris habis.
“Ayo. Maturnuwun, Lek Us.”
“Aku yo maturnuwun kopine… sesuk-sesuk neh yo?” cetus Usman, beranjak meninggal Kang Kucrit yang juga segera mengemasi mug kopinya.
Dan mereka pun berpisah, menuju rumah masing-masing.***
