UNTUK mengantisipasi tindak pencurian asetnya di tengah krisis akibat pandemi Covid-19, Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan (KPH) Mantingan, Rembang, memperketat penjagaan hutan. Meski secara umum, keamanan hutan di KPH Mantingan yang wilayahnya meliputi Kabupaten Rembang dan Blora seluas 16 ribu hektare lebih, masih cukup terkendali.
Humas KPH Mantingan Ismartoyo mengatakan, intensitas patroli polisi hutan di masa pandemi ini lebih ditingkatkan. Di sisi lain, pihaknya justru terbantu oleh pengamanan warga keluar-masuk desa yang diberlakukan oleh kampung-kampung di pinggiran hutan.
Dia mencontohkan, di wilayah BKPH Kalinanas, Kecamatan Japah, Kabupaten Blora, yang berbatasan dengan Kabupaten Rembang dan Pati, warga setempat membuka posko 24 jam, dengan memperketat keluar-masuk warga, sehingga dapat membantu pengamanan hutan.
“Inisiatif itu justru dari desa sendiri, dengan pengetatan keluar-masuk orang. Kita merasa terbantu,“ tuturnya, belum lama ini.
Ismartoyo menambahkan, pencurian kayu tidak mengalami peningkatan, karena saat ini situasi pasar kayu sedang lesu. Padahal biasanya pencurian kayu terjadi, sepanjang ada pesanan. Begitu pesanan menurun, otomatis pencurian kayu juga menurun.
“Sekarang ekspor kayu juga stagnan. Di TPK pemasaran juga ikut merasakan. Permintaan nggak ada. Ibaratnya, mau curi kayu, percuma saja karena yang beli nggak ada. Seringnya orang mencuri kayu karena ada pesanan, “ ujarnya.
Guna meringankan beban masyarakat pinggiran hutan akibat pandemi Covid-19, informasi yang diterima Perhutani, akan ada program padat karya di bidang ketahanan pangan. Bentuknya, melalui bantuan benih dan pupuk kepada para petani.
KPH Mantingan sudah mengirimkan data calon penerima, tapi untuk realisasinya menunggu keputusan dari Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan. “Kami mendata calon penggarap lahan. Bolanya ada di pemerintah pusat, lewat kementerian yang akan disalurkan ke Perhutani,” pungkas Ismartoyo.***
