Kendal-Inspirasiline.com. Setelah vakum selama enam tahun, Tim Sumber Raya Kendal menggelar lomba burung berkicau Sumber Raya Cup II yang diikuti peserta dari berbagai daerah di Jawa Tengah di area gantangan burung Desa Sidomukti Kecamatan Weleri Kabupaten Kendal, Minggu (13/3/2022) malam.
Acara yang digelar dengan tema “Menjalin Kawan Menjaga Alam” dihadiri oleh Angota DPRD Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Mifta Reza, Forkopimcam Weleri, Kepala Desa Sidomukti.
Berbagai jenis burung dilombakan untuk mendapatkan trophy dan uang tunai. Selain itu panitia dari Sumber Raya Group yang menggandeng BNR juga menyediakan hadiah juara tiket, berupa tiga unit sepeda motor.
Ketua Tim Sumber Raya sekaligus ketua pelaksana acara, Sugiyanto mengatakan lomba burung berkicau ini merupakan acara rutin yang digelar setiap tahun dan diikuti 75 peserta dari Pantura Jawa Tengah.
“Ini merupakan lomba lanjutan Sumber Raya Cup II, yang dulu sempat vacum karena adanya pandemi covid. Diharapkan diselenggarakannya lomba ini dapat menjadi ajang silaturahmi antar pemilik burung serta bisa melihat kemampuan burung di gantangan,” katanya.
Dirinya menambahkan lomba kicau burung ini digelar untuk mengobati rasa rindu setelah enam tahun sejak Sumber Raya Cup 1 digelar vacum. Dengan adanya gantangan Sumber Raya Cup II ini berharap dapat meningkatkan UMKM di wilayah Sidomukti.
“Kita ada beberapa lomba yaitu, murai batu, kenari, cucak hijau dan sebagainya. Untuk hadiah kita ada trophy dan uang tunai yang jumlahnya masing-masing, sesuai dengan kelasnya,” jelasnya.
Camat Weleri, Marwoto mengapresiasi acara lomba burung berkicau yang diselenggarakan Tim Sumber Raya Cup II. Menurutnya dengan adanya acara ini, masyarakat Desa Sidomukti khususnya pelaku UMKM bisa menjajakan produknya di sekitar area gantangan.
“Saya lihat pelaku UMKM mendirikan tenda-tenda untuk berjualan di sekitar area gantangan. Sehingga kegiatan ini bisa ikut membantu perekonomian warga,” tutur Marwoto.
Dirinya juga menghimbau kepada peserta dan penonton untuk tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan mengingat acara yang digelar masih di tengah pandemi Covid-19. (eko)
