Sukoharjo-Inspirasiline.com. Peringatan Hari Buruh yang jatuh pada 1 Mei di Sukoharjo cukup meriah hadir ribuan buruh yang memadati Gedung Taman Budaya Suryani (TBS) Sukoharjo pada Rabu (1/5/2024). Peringatan May Day dihadiri oleh Forkopimda dan jajarannya.
Bupati Sukoharjo Etik Suryani usai mengikuti acara May Day kepada wartawan mengatakan bahwa peringatan hari buruh nasional diawali dengan senam sehat bersama buruh dengan forkopimda di Gedung TBS Sukoharjo.
Bupati menambahkan pada May Day ini kami memberikan bantuan beras 10 kg kepada buruh yang total keseluruhan ada 2000 zak beras dengan harapan bisa membantu meringankan beban buruh untuk menopang kehidupannya sehari-hari.
Sementara itu Sukarno Ketua Forum Peduli Buruh menyampaikan kegiatan May Day diisi dengan senam sehat bersama Forkopimda di Gedung TBS Sukoharjo, usai senam diadakan undian doorprize mulai dari sepeda gunung hingga perabot rumah tangga.
Selain itu juga diserahkan santunan kepada ahli waris yang mengalami kecelakaan kerja dari BPJS Ketenagakerjaan sebesar Rp. 42 juta kepada Siti Utami pekerja rentan, Rp 104 juta kepada ahli waris Setyo Tri Wibowo PT Sukoharjo Multi Indah Textil.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut buruh juga meyuarakan pencabutan Omnibus Law UU Cipta Kerja yang dianggap tidak berpihak kepada mereka. Ada banyak pasal-pasal kontroversial di klaster ketenagakerjaan cenderung memberatkan kalangan buruh. Misalnya, aturan mengenai status, jangka waktu perjanjian kerja waktu tertentu (PKWT), dan bupati Sukoharjo Etik Suryani siap membantu mengawalnya hingga ke pemerintah pusat. (Prie)
