Grobogan-Inspirasiline.com. Kekeringan yang melanda beberapa desa di Kabupaten Grobogan saat ini telah mendapatkan perhatian dari Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Kabupaten Grobogan.
Dalam upaya untuk mengurangi dampak kekeringan pada masyarakat, PMI Kabupaten Grobogan telah melaksanakan distribusi air bersih yang dinilai sangat membantu warga terdampak kekeringan itu.
Distribusi air bersih dilakukan di Dusun Tengger RT.03 RW.05 Desa Sarirejo Kecamatan Ngaringan dan di Dusun Jati RT.02 RW.03 Desa Grabagan Kecamatan Kradenan, Jumat (2/8/2024)
Sebanyak 109 Kepala Keluarga (KK) menjadi penerima manfaat dari distribusi PMI Kabupaten Grobogan.
Dalam distribusi tersebut, PMI Kabupaten Grobogan menggunakan armada tangki air bersih berhasil mendistribusikan sebanyak 10.000 liter air bersih kepada masyarakat.
Ketua PMI Kabupaten Grobogan,Dr. Ir. Moh. Sumarsono, M.Si menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan distribusi air bersih ini dilakukan dalam musim kemarau sebagai bentuk sinergi antara PMI Kabupaten Grobogan dengan Pemerintah Kabupaten melalui Keputusan Bupati tentang Siaga Darurat Kekeringan Tahun 2024.
“Melalui distribusi air bersih, diharapkan kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap air bersih dapat terpenuhi,”. ungkapnya.
“Untuk agenda dalam bulan ini PMI tetap berupaya membantu masyarakat yang terdampak kekeringan dengan menyiapkan 2 armada tangki yang kami miliki.”. terangnya
“PMI Kabupaten Grobogan terus berupaya menjalin sinergi dengan berbagai pihak, seperti PMI Provinsi dan Pemerintah Kabupaten, dalam mengatasi bencana kekeringan. Distribusi air bersih merupakan salah satu upaya nyata PMI Kabupaten Grobogan dalam membantu masyarakat dalam menghadapi kekeringan,” imbuh mantan Sekda Grobogan itu
“Diharapkan dengan adanya distribusi air bersih ini, masyarakat di desa-desa terdampak dapat merasakan manfaatnya dan terbantu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari mereka,”. Tambahnya
Peran PMI Kabupaten Grobogan dalam penanggulangan kekeringan mendapat apresiasi dari warga, seperti yang diungkapkan oleh Dami Lontong, Warga Dusun Tengger Desa Sarirejo.
“Mewakili warga saya menyampaikan terima kasih banyak, kami sangat terbantu dengan adanya Air bersih yang diberikan oleh PMI Kabupaten Grobogan dan kalau bisa selalu datang ,”. ungkapnya
Sebelumnya, warga harus membeli air untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih. Namun, dengan adanya bantuan distribusi air bersih dari PMI, pengeluaran warga untuk pembelian air berkurang. Hal ini sangat membantu dalam mengurangi beban ekonomi warga. (jkw)
