DI tengah pandemi Covid-19, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) tetap menggelar kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN). Selama satu bulan (29/8-29/9), tujuh mahasiswa UMY dari sejumlah fakultas, melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Lasem, Rembang.
Fokus kegiatan mereka adalah membantu pemasaran batik tulis di Butik Najma, salah satu produsen batik tulis di Desa Soditan, Lasem.
Humas Tim KKN 047 UMY Felansonia menganggap pandemi Covid-19 harus disiasati dengan memperkuat pemasaran melalui media sosial dan market place, seperti Shopee, Tokopedia, dan sejenisnya.
Maka, selama KKN, dia bersama 6 orang rekannya lebih banyak melakukan pendampingan di bidang digital marketing.
“Kita memberikan pelatihan, bagaimana cara mengambil foto produk lebih menarik di mata konsumen. Setelah itu diunggah ke media sosial dan market place. Harapannya, bisa meningkatkan permintaan konsumen,“ ujar Felansonia.
Mahasiswa UMY asal Desa Dorokandang, Kecamatan Lasem ini berharap, fungsi KKN dapat bermanfaat, untuk tetap menumbuhkan usaha mikro kecil menengah (UMKM), terutama dalam menghadapi badai pandemi Covid-19.
“Kebetulan di Butik Najma ini kan produknya macam-macam. Ada batik Tiga Negeri, kemudian ada pula batik tema memadukan gaya China dan Jawa. Bahkan memenuhi motif batik yang dikehendaki oleh konsumen. Jadi ke depan pangsa pasarnya lebih luas,“ imbuhnya.
Sementara Sunarno, dosen pembimbing lapangan menyatakan, kegiatan KKN diikuti mahasiswa dari berbagai fakultas dan program studi di UMY. “KKN merupakan penerapan Catur Darma di UMY. Inilah wujud nyata kami memberikan sumbangsih kepada masyarakat,” pungkas Sunarno.***
