BELASAN SMP swasta tidak kebagian siswa dan hanya mendapat segelintir siswa baru hasil program Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) online yang diumumkan Selasa (30/6) lalu.
Kepala SMP PGRI 2 Karangmalang Suprapto mengatakan, hampir semua SMP swasta di Sragen hanya mendapat beberapa orang siswa saja pada PPDB kali ini. Bahkan, sebagian besar hanya mendapat siswa baru kurang dari 5 orang. “Sekolah kami pun kali ini hanya mendapat 3 siswa baru. Padahal tahun kemarin masih dapat 11 siswa,” ungkapnya.
Kondisi tak kalah tragis dialami SMP Kristen dan SMP Saverius yang juga hanya mendapat beberapa orang siswa saja.
“SMP Kristen dan SMP Saverius juga dapat beberapa saja, kurang dari 10 siswa. Hampir semua SMP swasta menjerit dan kolaps, nggak dapat siswa,” ujar Suprapto.
Dia menengarai, minimnya siswa baru yang masuk ke SMP swasta itu terjadi akibat sistem PPDB online yang kali ini dinilai lebih berpihak pada sekolah negeri.
“Jadi SMP swasta ini boleh dikata korban sistem PPDB,” tuturnya.
Sebab dari pengamatannya, dari empat opsi pilihan sekolah yang diberikan ke calon siswa, kali ini mereka bisa memilih empat-empatnya sekolah negeri.
Padahal tahun lalu, empat opsi yang diberikan, dua opsi masih diberikan untuk sekolah swasta. Dengan kebijakan 4 pilihan boleh negeri semua, akhirnya sekolah swasta nyaris tak ada yang masuk pilihan siswa baru.
“Sekarang pilihannya 4 sekolah, siswa bisa milih negeri semua. Itu kan merugikan sekolah swasta. Karena siswa akhirnya bisa terjaring di negeri semua. Sekolah swasta nggak dapat apa-apa,” keluhnya.
Selain itu, Suprapto menduga, proses pendaftaran PPDB online tahun ini yang lebih banyak dilakukan oleh IT sekolah, bersama kasek dan UPT sudah menggiring siswa agar mendaftar di sekolah negeri. “Indikasinya kami lihat begitu. Siswa saat mendaftar lebih diarahkan masuk ke negeri karena tidak bayar. Boleh sih, tapi kan mestinya nggak harus diarahkan begitu. Akhirnya kami, sekolah swasta kolaps,” paparnya.
Terpisah, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Suwardi tak menampik memang ada SMP swasta dan SMP negeri yang masih kekurangan siswa. Soal keluhan sekolah swasta yang merasa dirugikan, dia mengatakan bahwa PPDB dijalankan sesuai sistem. Dinas tidak pernah berniat menganaktirikan atau mengarahkan agar siswa memilih sekolah negeri.
Sistem PPDB online dengan penerapan zonasi, memang memungkinkan empat pilihan sekolah diisi semuanya SMP negeri. Hal itu terjadi di wilayah-wilayah zona yang memang tidak ada sekolah swastanya.
“Semua kan sudah sistem dan tergantung zonanya. Kalau memang di zona itu nggak ada SMP swastanya, otomatis siswa bisa mengisi 4 pilihan semuanya sekolah negeri. Jadi bukan kami mengarahkan, tapi sistemnya memungkinkan seperti itu,” terang Suwardi.***
