WALI Kota Tegal Dedy Yon Supriyono menyerahkan piala dan hadiah turnamen Piala PSSI Kota Tegal kepada Putra Cantrang FC, Senin (31/8/2020), di Pringgitan Balai Kota Tegal.
Putra Cantrang dinyatakan keluar sebagai juara setelah menang walkover (WO) atas Bhayangkara FC di partai final, di Stadion Yos Sudarso, Minggu (30/8/2020) sore.
Wali Kota Tegal Dedy Yon Supriyono menyampaikan ucapan selamat kepada juara dan terimakasih kepada panitia yang telah menggelar turnamen sampai selesai.
“Saya mengucapkan selamat, tentunya agar prestasi ini tetap bisa dipertahankan,” ujarnya.
Pelatih Putra Cantrang FC, Eko Haryanto menjelaskan, perjalanan panjang Putra Cantrang FC sebelum meraih tahta tertinggi di Piala PSSI Kota Tegal, melalui persiapan dan latihan sekitar lima bulan menjelang turnamen bergulir.
“Sebelum ada turnamen, kita memang sudah mempersiapkan sekitar lima bulan, dengan mengambil beberapa pemain lokal, terutama yang berdomisili di Kelurahan Tegal Sari,” ungkap pria yang akrab disapa Eko Jos ini.
Sesuai aturan, dia melakukan penjaringan pemain lokal minimal 5 pemain, kemudian timnya melakukan penambahan pemain luar untuk memperkuat timnya.
“Setelah kita melakukan penjaringan pemain lokal, baru kita menambah pemain dari luar kota. Sesuai peraturan, pemain dalam kota manimal 5 pemain. Jadi kita menambah pemain dari luar kota untuk menambah kekuatan tim kita,” jelas Eko Jos.
Dia menjelaskan, selama kompetisi berlangsung, timnya sudah bermain sebanyak tujuh kali dan selalu menang.
Pada babak penyisihan, Putra Cantrang FC bertemu dengan Bahari Uzur, unggul 1-0. Permainan kedua melawan Bhayangkara FC, juga dimenangi Putra Cantrang 3-0. Sementara pertandingan ketiga melawan Persepas Pasar, menang telak 5-1.
Di babak dua belas besar mengalahkan The Kid 3-0, dan di perempat final membungkam Lion 3-0, kemudian di semifinal menang adu pinalti atas Bina Taruna Kaligangsa.
Pembina Putra Cantrang FC H Riswanto menerangkan, pihaknya berangkat dari hobi sepakbola, kebetulan ada momen dan kesempatan baik bisa mengikuti kompetisi Piala PSSI Kota Tegal, dan akhirnya keluar sebagai juara.
Dia menambahkan, pihaknya juga ingin menggali bibit pesepakbola dari putra-putra nelayan Tegal Sari. “Alhamdulillah, ini merupakan langkah awal kita. Jika ke depan ada kompetisi yang lebih baik lagi, kita akan aktif ikut,” ujar Riswanto.
Riswanto mengungkapkan, sebelumnya timnya sering mengikuti kompetisi di Kota Tegal, dengan nama yang berbeda. Dia juga menyatakan kesiapannya jika timnya ditunjuk mewakili Kota tegal.
“Dari dulu animo masyarakat Kelurahan Tegal Sari terhadap sepakbola memang cukup besar, dengan dukungan luar biasa, bahkan sampai dukungan finansial. Melalui gotong royong seperti inilah, terbentuklah tim Putra Cantrang FC dan menjadi juara Piala PSSI Kota Tegal,” tandasnya.***
