SEBAGAI bentuk kepedulian kepada anak yatim piatu di masa pandemi Covid-19, Forum Lintas Wartawan Pantura (Folwap) Kota Tegal membagikan santunan dan bingkisan kepada 50 anak yatim, Minggu (18/10/2020) siang.
Ketua Folwap yang juga Ketua Panitia Budi Sutarno mengatakan, kegiatan pemberian santunan dan bingkisan kepada 50 anak yatim piatu ini sekaligus memperingati 10 tahun Folwap.
Karena masih dalam masa pandemi Covid-19, acara yang sedianya digelar di Kedai Sipelem ini dialihkan di Sekretariat Folwap, Jalan Kates Nomor 19 RT 08/RW 06 Kelurahan Kraton, Kecamatan Tegal Barat, Kota Tegal.
“Sebagian santunan dan bingkisan malah kami antar ke rumah masing-masing anak yatim yang sudah didata,” terang BS, sapaan akrab Ketua LSM Pakem Tegal ini di sela acara yang diramaikan kegiatan makan bersama dan nyanyi-nyanyi tembang kenangan.
Sementara Sekretaris Panitia SL Gaharu menjelaskan, pembagian santunan dan bingkisan di Sekretaruat Folwap dilakukan secara bertahap. “Setiap satu jam kami undang lima anak yatim untuk menerima santunan dan bingkisan secara langsung,” ujarnya.
Budi Sutarno menjelaskan, Folwap merupakan organisasi yang mewadahi wartawan liputan Kota dan Kabupaten Tegal, Kabupaten Brebes, dan sekitarnya. Organisasi sudah 10 tahun terbentuk.
“Setiap tahun, kegiatan bakti sosial rutin kami lakukan. Kegiatan kali ini, kami gelar secara sederhana,” ungkapnya.
Budi Sutarno menambahkan, pihaknya sangat berterima kasih kepada para donatur yang selama ini bekerja sama serta membantu sejumlah kegiatan Folwap.***
