WAKIL Wali Kota Tegal Muhamad Jumadi mendorong pelaku usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah (UMKM) untuk membangun branding produk unggulan mereka, sehingga lebih laku di pasar
Dia mencontohkan, intip yang terbuat dari kerak nasi, apabila di-branding, maka akan menambah nilai jual. Apabila ke mal besar, maka akan ditemukan produk rice crackers. “Produk itu sebenarnya intip yang di-branding,” bebernya saat menjadi narasumber Kelas Kreatif Tegal UMKM Bangkit yang mengusung tema “From Local to Global” di Hotel Karlita, Kota Tegal, Kamis (22/10/2020).
Jumadi menuturkan, warteg dari Kota Tegal yang sudah menjadi brand, diharapkan dapat membangkitkan ekonomi kreatif Kota Tegal.
Menurut Jumadi, “WARTEG” juga merupakan akronim dari “Wish All Regions (country) Think and Talk Export from Tegal”. Dengan akronim tersebut, diharapkan bisa menjadi new hope atau harapan baru bagi pelaku UMKM.
“Apa Itu, Wish All Regions (country) Think & Talk Export from Tegal? Pemkot Tegal mendorong agar UMKM terus tumbuh. Saya berharap, pemerintah pusat mendorong agar pelaku UMKM di Kota Tegal dapat mengekspor produknya. Apalagi produk UMKM seperti wedang uwuh yang diekspor ke Jepang, Singapura, hingga ke negara-negara Asia, termasuk sarung goyor khas Tegal,” jelas Jumadi.
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Jumadi siap mempromosikan produk UMKM lokal. “Misalnya, dibuatkan space di ruang kerja. Jadi, jika ada tamu yang datang bisa langsung mempromosikan produk UMKM Kota Tegal,” tuturnya.
Selain itu, Jumadi menceritakan, saat menjadi narasumber dalam pertemuan virtual usaha skala internasional membahas peningkatan perkembangan perekonomian dan pembangunan Kota Tegal, Jumadi memaparkan tentang WARTEG. Hasilnya pengusaha dari berbagai negara tertarik menjadi investor di Kota Tegal.
Gerakan Nasional
Direktur Pemasaran Ekonomi Kreatif Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Yuana Rochma Astuti mengatakan, Presiden Jokowi telah mengeluarkan kebijakan untuk membantu UMKM melalui Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia.
Tujuan gerakan itu, kata Yuana, pemerintah yakin bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi harus tetap berjalan di masa pandemi.
“Semua kementerian turun membantu UMKM, salah satunya Kemenparekraf melalui Program Beli Kreatif Lokal, karena UMKM menjadi tumpuan di masa pandemi Covid-19,” ujar Yuana.
Pemerintah tidak membiarkan pelaku UMKM untuk berjuang sendiri. Yuana menuturkan, melalui Kelas Kreatif Tegal ini, diharapkan mampu meningkatkan packaging dan pemasaran dengan platform market place, dan sebagainya.
Disinggung produk UMKM Kota Tegal, Yuana merasa bangga dan kagum. Sebab, Yuana baru mengetahui bahwa banyak produk UMKM Tegal yang dihasilkan dengan kualitas bagus.
Kepala OJK Tegal Ludy Arianto menambahkan, pemerintah terus berusaha untuk memajukan UMKM. Kondisi pandemi ini, Ludy meminta UMKM terus berproduksi dan berkarya.
Ludy menambahkan, produk UMKM Tegal bagus dan murah, karena membeli langsung di sumbernya. Untuk itu, pihaknya membuat platform untuk memperpendek rantai distribusi.
OJK telah membuat platform umkmbangkit.id untuk pengembangan UMKM di Jawa Tengah.
“Platfom ini terkoneksi dengan organisasi perangkat daerah (OPD) di 35 kabupaten/kota. Platform ini (umkmbangkit.id) rumah digital untuk pelaku UMKM,” ungkap Ludy.
