BANYAK orang menginginkan perubahan. Orang harus terus bergerak. Pikiran mesti terus berkembang. Jika tak mau ketinggalan kereta. Ketinggalan zaman yang tak pernah bergerak pelan.
Usman adalah salah satunya. Biar sudah berumur, dia tak mau dibilang uzur. Semangatnya tak pernah mengendur, apalagi sampai mati terkubur.
“Kok koyok kemropok karepe dewe ki nopo to, Lek Us?”
Pertanyaan tiba-tiba dan setengah menohok dari Kang Kucrit itu, tentu membuat Usman terhenyak. Pria paruh baya ini makin bersungut-sungut, dengan tangan masih memegang rokok kreteknya yang nyaris habis tersulut. “Kowe ki senenge pengin ngerti urusane wong liyo. Kepo.”
Jawaban Usman yang “tinggi” langsung menjadi serangan balik yang tak kalah menusuk. Bukan hanya Kang Kucrit, yang meluncurkan pertanyaan awal, Lek No pun ikut merasa tidak enak hati. Wajahnya muram.
Suasana di pos kamling yang terletak tak jauh di seberang depan rumah Usman itu menjadi kaku. Tiga sekawan yang selama ini jadi penghuni setia pos kamling itu, tampak sedang gencatan rasa. Seperti suasana kampung, di malam hari ini, yang terasa senyap. Tak bernyawa.
“Wis to, Lek Us, ora usah dipikir nggrantes-nggrantes. Mengko ndak tambah cepet tuwo,” hibur Lek No, berusaha mencairkan suasana. “Ayo kene, bareng-bareng nonton film ‘Transformers’. Rame lho iki… Robot iso ngowah-ngowahi wujude. Nyenengke lho…”
Mau tak mau, ogah tak ogah, Usman mengarahkan wajah dan pandangannya ke pesawat televisi tabung 21 inci itu. Memang seru dan menghibur. Ekspresi dan tensi kemropok Usman pun agak menurun. Bertransformasi. Seperti sosok-sosok robot dalam film Transformers yang sedang berusaha dia nikmati. Dari muram, ulat peteng, menjadi hampir sumringah.
“Ki diududi sek, ben gayeng…” sodornya tiba-tiba.
Lek No dan Kang Kucrit yang sedari tadi ciut nyali ngumpul sama Usman, serempak berebut rokok kretek legendaris kesukaan si driver truk tronton pengangkut alat beratnya Juragan Mansur itu.
Mulut tiga sekawan itu sudah sibuk dengan tembakau-cengkeh batangan itu. Dari mulut dan hidung mereka pula, terembus kepulan asap putih yang memenuhi pos kampling. Seteko kopi hitam manis selalu menemani ketiganya. Tanpa diminta, Kang Kucrit langsung menuangkan segelas untuk Usman, yang tadi sempat dibuatnya tinggi tensi. “Iki, Lek Us, gratis. Hehe… Ben tambah padhang pikire,” cetusnya sambil menyodorkan segelas kopi ke Usman.
“Jos.” Usman tersenyum. Manis. Tanpa sedikit pun sisa ekspresi kemropok. Sikap yang bikin Lek No dan Kang Kucrit merasa lega.
“Jan-jane ono opo maneh to, Lek Us?” Lek No memberanikan diri mengusut pemicu kemropok Usman, setelah ketiganya secara kompak menyeruput kopi.
“Ngene lho, aku iki yen urip ngena-ngene wae opo iso berubah. Berubah nasibe, dunia-akhirat. Aku pengin uripku luwih temoto.”
“Ooohh…” Lek No manggut-manggut. Begitu pun Kang Kucrit.
“Wis ah, ngko maneh. Nonton ‘Transformers’ wae. Apik. Ramai.” Usman memotong usutan atas dirinya, sebelum Lek No dan Kang Kucrit melanjutkan interogasi dan investigasinya.
Sebenarnya, tak hanya itu, diam-diam jauh di lubuk hatinya yang terdalam, Usman terinspirasi sekaligus termotivasi robot-robot dalam film Transformers itu. Selama ini dia sudah berusaha berubah. Bertransformasi dari manusia jalanan yang tak kenal waktu, menjadi sosok lak-laki yang lebih baik dan teratur. Mengubah diri menjadi suami dan ayah yang lebih bertanggungjawab di keluarganya.
Tapi, semua memang ada prosesnya. Tak bisa instan. Tinggal bagaimana dia memaksimalkannya. Bertransforma(k)si. Bertransformasi secara lebih maksimal. Lebih sungguh-sungguh. Dan lebih ikhlas.
“Allah tidak akan mengubah nasib satu kaum, jika kaum itu sendiri tidak berusaha mengubahnya.” Nukilan ayat Alquran ini tiba-tiba terlintas di pikiran dan menguatkan hati Usman, bersamaan dengan kemenangan Optimus Prime, si robot protagonis utama yang menyudahi tayangan Transformers di tv pos kamling itu.***
